The Yeti Cave - Out now! Digi pre release special...

Cor Blimey! It's hot,the sun is out...AND SO IS THE YETI!!!!!. "The Yeti Cave" that is.

Having already received high praise for its highly individual blend of modern day exotica and warm electronics, the heady and evocative stew of oak smoked electronica and grimy noir that is Jay Bharadia’s debut album ‘The Yeticave’ is set to soundtrack the summer on Lumenessence Recordings.

Jay’s personal palette of mind bending influences range from folk, dub, French chanson and Bollywood soundtracks pulled together into an escapist canvas of electronica which both manages to invoke the South London backdrop of his youth and to conjure a spicy soundworld all its own.

With praise coming from such diverse quarters as Roots Manuva, Caribou and Fourtet, this is modern day folk music, travellers tales and analog eclectica warmed by the last rays of summer sun and drenched in the warm fuzz of tape hiss and vinyl crackle.

Well, I know for a fact that my whistle is now well and truly wet!

Venture into the cave and have a listen on the Yeti Player...

"...With Jay Bharadia's 'The Yeti Cave', a pile of exquisite corpse drawings scrawled by MF Doom, Ivor Cutler, Prefuse 73 and Phil Collins sit burning in the frame of an old transistor radio, balanced on the back of a sun-bleached fibreglass horse on a fairground carousel; blindly, perpetually rotating against the bleak tundra of the Antarctic" Lewis Heriz

"...Jay Bharadia? He's got Strength, pace, agility, skill. He has everything. But he's not as good as me!..." Alan Hansen - BBC1 Pundit

"...Mashed up and mad, thrilling! 4.5/5" DJ
